let’s talk details….

Let’s be honest, planning a wedding and setting a budget can be difficult- especially since you’ve probably never done it before!  We value transparency in our company as well as throughout the wedding community and want to do our part in making sure our process is as transparent as possible.

How much does a wedding cost?

That is the question we are most often asked, and probably the first thing you Googled once you got engaged.  You probably saw many national averages to answer that question but those do not take into consideration the unique vision for your wedding and the scope of production it will require.  Our clients spend an average of $600-900 per guest.  For example: a 150 person wedding at $700 per person would have a budget of $105,000.

How much is a wedding planner?

Wedding planning prices also vary greatly between markets and level of service but we believe your investment in a professional wedding planner should directly reflect your investment into the wedding as a whole. At Haviland, we like to have the opportunity to guide you through each portion of the wedding planning process, from setting the budget, finding your unique vision and remembering to bring the cake topper home after the wedding!  For that reason, we do not offer packaged pricing but charge 15% of your total wedding investment with a minimum planning fee of $15,000.  With this structure, our level of service is able to match the investment you’re putting into your wedding.

A note about commissions

We believe vendor recommendations should be unique to the needs of your wedding and align with your specific style, budget, personality and scope of your wedding.

It is for this reason, Haviland will never accept commissions or kick backs from any vendor and vows to make vendor recommendations based on your specific needs.
